Shanghai, China —19th, July — Shanghai SAGE Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (“iSAGE”), a leading developer of intelligent industrial robotics, made a major appearance at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), participating in two key forums focused on industrial robotics and the future of intelligent machines.
At the conference, iSAGE unveiled its proprietary World Model, “SageNexus,” for the first time globally and presented its latest multi-arm robotic systems and industrial applications. The company also became one of the first companies in Shanghai to participate in a new pilot insurance program designed to support the testing and commercialization of advanced robotic technologies.
The two-day presence highlighted iSAGE’s growing capabilities across industrial robotics, Physical AI, intelligent control and scenario-based applications, while demonstrating the company’s long-term focus on bringing AI-powered robotic systems into real industrial environments.
Introducing SageNexus: A World Model Built for Industrial Applications
At the Industrial Robotics Ecosystem Forum, Dr. Jandon Zhang, Founder and CEO of iSAGE, officially unveiled the company’s proprietary World Model, “SageNexus.”
Developed from experience across more than 2,000 industrial scenarios, SageNexus is designed to address some of the key challenges facing intelligent robotics in real-world production environments, including operational efficiency, long-duration reliability and adaptability across different scenarios.
Unlike conventional industrial robots that primarily execute predefined programs and respond to immediate inputs, SageNexus is designed to build a deeper understanding of industrial environments and anticipate the potential outcomes of actions.
By integrating and training on multimodal industrial data—including visual information, motion, force control and process data—the model enables robotic systems to interpret environmental conditions, evaluate potential actions and incorporate process and operational constraints into longer-horizon decision-making.
This approach allows iSAGE to move beyond conventional scenario-specific automation toward more adaptable robotic systems capable of handling a broader range of industrial tasks and operating conditions.
Connecting Data, Models, Robots and Industrial Scenarios
SageNexus is supported by iSAGE’s Physical AI technology stack and SAGE-OS operating system, forming an integrated architecture that connects data, models, robotic hardware and industrial scenarios.
This architecture enables a continuous feedback loop between cloud-based model development and real-time execution at the edge.
At the cloud level, operational data and application experience can contribute to the continuous improvement of models and robotic capabilities. At the edge, robotic systems process information and execute tasks in real time, while dedicated safety mechanisms provide an additional layer of protection for industrial operations.
The architecture combines these capabilities into three complementary loops:
1. Continuous learning and optimization at the model level
2. Real-time perception, decision-making and execution at the edge
3. Safety monitoring and protection at the operational level
Safety functions such as collision detection, force limitations and emergency-stop mechanisms are integrated into the system to support reliable deployment in industrial environments.
From Individual Skills to Complex Industrial Operations
Based on the capabilities developed through SageNexus and iSAGE’s industrial skill library, the company has accumulated more than 2,000 industrial skills and application scenarios, covering both individual robotic tasks and complex multi-step operations.
These capabilities range from fundamental tasks such as grasping and press-fitting to more sophisticated applications involving dual-arm, four-arm and multi-robot coordination.
The technology has been deployed across iSAGE’s portfolio of single-arm, dual-arm, four-arm and six-arm robotic systems, supporting applications including:
1. Precision assembly
2. Flexible machine tending and material handling
3. Complex inspection
4. High-precision intralogistics and delivery
5. Multi-step industrial operations
By combining intelligent control with flexible robotic hardware, iSAGE aims to enable robotic systems to adapt to changing production requirements while maintaining the precision and reliability expected in industrial environments.

iSAGE Joins Shanghai’s First Pilot Insurance Program for Advanced Robotics
At the Innovation and Development Forum for Intelligent Robotics, iSAGE also participated in the launch of a strategic cooperation and insurance program with leading insurance institutions, including China Life Property & Casualty Insurance Company, as part of Shanghai’s first pilot initiative supporting insurance coverage for advanced robotics during pilot testing.
As one of the first companies in the intelligent robotics sector to participate in the program, iSAGE will work with industry partners to explore new approaches to risk management during the transition from technology development to commercial deployment.
For advanced robotic systems, the pilot-testing stage represents a critical bridge between laboratory development and large-scale production. During this phase, companies may face a range of uncertainties involving equipment reliability, application performance, operational safety and third-party risks.
The new insurance framework is designed to provide broader protection during pilot deployment, potentially covering areas such as equipment damage, third-party liability, data-related risks and application failure.
For technology companies, such mechanisms can help reduce the commercial risks associated with testing innovative solutions in real industrial environments.
The initiative also represents a broader collaboration model combining technology, insurance and financial services to support the commercialization of emerging industrial technologies.

Multi-Arm Robotics Demonstrate Advanced Industrial Capabilities at WAIC
At the exhibition area, two of iSAGE’s multi-arm robotic systems attracted significant attention from visitors, industry representatives and technology professionals.
iSAGE Hexa-arm robotic system demonstrated a series of coordinated precision operations, with multiple arms working simultaneously within a compact workspace.
Through coordinated motion, master-slave control and rapid end-effector changes, the system demonstrated how multiple robotic arms can perform complex operations while minimizing interference between individual arms.
The demonstration highlighted the potential of multi-arm robotic systems for complex manufacturing processes and high-precision industrial applications.
iSAGE’s Quad-arm robotic system offered a different demonstration, combining precision robotic control with traditional Chinese calligraphy.
Working collaboratively, the four robotic arms performed a sequence of movements involving writing, ink application and controlled brush strokes, producing large-format calligraphy featuring messages including “WAIC” and “Innovation Drives the Future.”
The demonstration showcased the system’s ability to precisely control force, angle and trajectory, while illustrating how advanced robotic technologies can extend beyond conventional industrial operations into highly controlled and dexterous applications.
From Programmed Automation to Intelligent Adaptation
Both robotic systems are powered by iSAGE’s proprietary intelligent robotics operating system and supported by the real-time reasoning capabilities of SageNexus.
Together, the technologies are designed to enable robotic systems to move beyond purely pre-programmed execution toward more adaptive operation.
For iSAGE, the development of intelligent robotics is not simply about building more capable machines. It is about creating an integrated technology stack that connects AI models, robotic hardware, intelligent control, industrial data and real-world applications.
