Following its industrial intelligent robot series that won gold awards from the 4th to the 8th editions, Shanghai SAGE Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (branded as iSAGE) has once again stood out at the recently concluded 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention Innovation Exhibition. iSAGE independently developed “Intelligent Quad-Arm Robot” (iSAGE) received the International Invention Innovation Gold Award – the sixth iSAGE product to earn this honour. The award-winning “iSAGE Intelligent Quad-Arm Robot” represents a revolutionary leap beyond iSAGE’s existing “Dual-arm” technology foundation, and stems from its deep internalization of robotic world models. Unlike conventional robots that rely on preset rules and precise environmental modelling, iSAGE has built an endogenous and self-evolving world model for the robot. Powered by a multi-modal perception large model, the robot analyses real-time visual, force, and tactile data from multiple sources. It does not merely “see” its environment. It comprehends the causal logic, spatial relationships, and temporal rhythm of the physical world. Integrating advanced multi-modal perception large models and dynamic scene understanding algorithms, the robot delivers micron-level insight into complex 3D environments, accurately parsing object properties, spatial poses, and dynamic relationships.
More flexible “hand-and- foot” coordination:
Through real-time motion planning and force-position hybrid control across four arms, the robot can perform various complex combinations. Two arms fixed while two operate, for example, or three arms assisting while one performs fine tasks. This enables precision assembly, multi-station parallel operations, and collaborative handling of large components that are difficult for single or dual-arm systems.
Superior “continuous evolution” capability:
Combining reinforcement learning and imitation learning frameworks, the robot autonomously optimises its strategies during task execution, converting expert human operational experience into its own motion primitives. This significantly improves adaptability and efficiency in unstructured scenarios.
